Stood up Together Day

On the 13th June 2018, North Durham Academy stood up together to raise awareness for anti-bullying. There were activities taking place around the Academy some of which were a cake and biscuits sale, which the Ambassadors baked and sold themselves and a photo frame, which the Ambassadors took around the school with funny props to show that it doesn’t matter what you look like, everyone is the same.  Many staff and students were willing to take part in this great day. The activities were a great success meaning the word of anti-bullying spread rapidly throughout the Academy.

The cake sale was a huge hit with everyone in the Academy. The homemade cakes and biscuits were decorated with positive messages and even when they were sold out people were still donating money to support anti-bullying!

From this event, we hope that more people will recognise that we are together as an Academy and that bullying will not be tolerated!
